Wellbeing

At Kinderley we focus on developing positive well being for all our children. We know that children are not ready to learn if their basic needs aren't met. They need to feel safe, be listened to and respected. They need to be able to develop good relationships with their peers and the adults in school. They need to know the boundaries and learn to take responsibility for themselves and their actions.

Through PSHE we teach children about the need to be healthy, not only physically, but mentally too. We give children opportunities to talk to trusted adults where they have worries or concerns or where parents identify anxieties. There is also a 'worry box' in the KS2 corridor, where children can post their worries if they don't want to approach an adult directly.
