At Kinderley we focus on developing positive well being for all our children. We know that children are not ready to learn if their basic needs are not met. They need to feel safe, be listened to and respected. They need to be able to develop good relationships with their peers and the adults in school. They need to know the boundaries and learn to take responsibility for themselves and their actions.
We follow a structured PSHE curriculum to delievr this within the classroom but it is also why we make good use of our outdoor areas at Kinderley too. Being ooutside makes us feel good! It also helps us to be healthy, physically fit and mentally well too. We give children opportunities to explore the outdoors in a safe place, teaching them to take risks and try new things and leanring new skills such as gardening.
